Absentee bidding allows you to bid on lots at our auctions even if you are unable to attend. It works like this:

• First, we assume that you or your agent have inspected the articles of interest to you.
  
  
• Next, you advise us of the maximum amount you would be prepared to bid for a lot.
  
  
• When the item on which you placed your absentee bid comes up, the auctioneer bids competitively on your behalf, continuing to do so until (or if) a floor bid overtakes your maximum commitment.
  
  
• If the highest floor bid is lower than the maximum bid you were prepared to make, the auctioneer will make your last bid at the same increment as the last floor bid. For example, if the final floor bid was $50.00 higher than the previous bid, then your winning bid will be no more than $50.00 higher than the last floor bid.
